Turkmenistan took part in the GS1 Global Forum 2024 in Brussels

The next GS1 Global Forum was held in the capital of Belgium from February 19 to 22, 2024 in a hybrid format. The chairman of the National Organization of Turkmenistan, GS1 Turkmenistan, Aykamar Myalikgulyeva, took part in its work.
During the forum, plenary and regional sessions, meetings of representatives of the Global Office divisions and national GS1 organizations, working group meetings, training seminars and other events aimed at the successful implementation of key GS1 projects were held.
In particular, Global Forum 2024 focused on the implementation of GS1's global retail strategy (2023 – 2027), current and emerging printing technologies, latest developments in registry and verification, web standards used and GS1 marketing opportunities. .
Forum delegates learned about the opportunities to move to one product, one barcode in healthcare, improve transport and logistics efficiency through GLN, the role of public relations and social media in increasing GS1 brand awareness and driving local business growth for GS1 member organizations. Experts gave a presentation on the work of the new IT and Cybersecurity Interest Group of the GS1(MO) member organization.
Separate events were organized for newcomers, particularly those related to the Global Standards Management Process (GSMP).
Forum participants expressed support for a number of key and promising GS1 projects.
The annual global event aims to align the organization's strategy, drive innovation and strengthen GS1's workforce around the world.
