Turkmenistan to be represented at GS1 Global Forum 2025 in Mumbai

The General Assembly of the GS1 International Organization will be held on May 19-22, 2025 in Mumbai (India) and will bring together representatives of the main divisions of the global office and national organizations - members of the GS1 Community.

The National Organization of Turkmenistan for barcodes GS1 Turkmenistan will be represented by its Chairwoman - Aykamar Malikgulyyeva.

Traditionally, the GS1 General Assembly aims to agree on a unified strategy, monitor the global results of the organization, exchange knowledge and implement innovations.

Before the official opening of the General Assembly, its delegates will take part in the seminar "Understanding the World in Transition". During this interactive event, experts will present information on how to adapt, implement innovations and ensure the future of organizations, taking into account issues of geopolitics, economics, technology, politics, and ecology.

Vision 2030 (questions and answers) and leadership skills exchange events will also be held.

At the GS1 General Assembly plenary session, GS1 President and CEO Renaud de Barbuat will deliver a report on the organization's activities and future plans.

A GS1 Board meeting, a panel session on "Design Thinking and Transformation", special presentations and business meetings on industry renewal related to the implementation of the GS1 global strategy are planned. GS1 MO leaders will inform about their new projects and areas of work.

It is also planned to introduce new candidates to the GS1 Board and hold a ceremony to accept new members into the organization. The achievements of national organizations will be noted, including GS1 Turkmenistan, which is celebrating 10 years of membership in the international GS1 community.

Based on the results of the GS1 General Assembly 2025, it is planned to adopt relevant documents, as well as decisions on organizational issues.

The General Assembly is an important event for the creation of the GS1 Community network at the executive level and is held annually in one of the GS1 member countries.
