A two-day training “Development of trade in a competitive environment and the role of digitalization as a tool for simplifying trade procedures” was conducted in Ashgabat by UNDP and the Ministry of Trade and Foreign Economic Relations of Turkmenistan.

The training took place within the framework of the ongoing joint project “Strengthening the trade potential of Turkmenistan, Phase II”.

Participants explored the impact of digital transformation on competitive trading practices and learned how digitalization can simplify trading procedures. The training program covered topics such as international trade, modern problems of foreign economic relations, digital trade trends and the legal basis of paperless trade.

The “single window” system to improve the efficiency of international trade was also considered.
