Ashgabat, November 14 – The 17th International Exhibition and Scientific Conference on Telecommunications, Telemetry, Information Technologies, and Broadcasting Equipment, "Turkmentel-2024," commenced today. This large-scale event brings together government officials, business leaders, international organizations, and leading experts from around the world.  

Among the exhibitors is GS1 Turkmenistan, the National Organization for Barcodes. The organization's stand showcases its extensive efforts in implementing the global, multi-industry system of identification, barcoding, and electronic communication across various sectors of the national economy, as well as its achievements in realizing Turkmenistan's Digital Economy Development Concept.

Visitors to the exhibition can also learn about GS1 Turkmenistan's work in stimulating trade integration processes through advanced technologies.

The conference program includes a series of engaging and timely sessions, focusing on digital transformation, innovations in digital technologies, and cybersecurity solutions. Participants will explore the prospects for the development of network technologies, 5G, and the Internet of Things. The session "Satellite Technologies, Applications, and Services: Supporting a Sustainable Economy" will delve into the use of satellite communications for regional and sectoral development.

The concluding session, "Creating Ethical, Inclusive Digital Societies: Strategies for Sustainable Digitalization," will discuss increasing access to digital services and technologies.

As part of the conference, the Universal Postal Union will hold a seminar dedicated to the digital transformation of the postal industry.

At the end of the three-day forum, the winners of the "Digital Solution-2024" innovation project contest will be announced.

Delegations from over 30 countries are expected to participate in Turkmentel-2024. The exhibition and conference will provide an opportunity for participants to exchange experiences, establish business contacts, and discuss promising areas of cooperation.
