President Serdar Berdymuhamedov, in his speech at the session of the Halk Maslahaty of Turkmenistan on September 19, noted that the trade sector is one of the leading branches of the national economy.

“Goods branded ‘Made in Turkmenistan’ are in great demand on the world market. The volume of exported products is consistently increasing, and the geography of sales markets is expanding,” said the head of state.

Emphasizing the importance of building international partnerships in the trade sphere, the President of Turkmenistan noted the role of exhibitions and conferences. In this regard, Serdar Berdimuhamedov recalled that “the national pavilion of Turkmenistan at the World Expo 2025 in the Japanese city of Osaka generated a great response.”

Speaking about the establishment of industrial enterprises and the production of competitive, export-oriented, high-tech products in the country, the head of Turkmenistan stated the importance of the activities of Turkmen entrepreneurs, assuring that the country will continue to develop small, medium, and large businesses.

At the Halk Maslahaty session, held on the eve of the 34th anniversary of Turkmenistan's independence, important issues were discussed, and in accordance with the Presidential Program, priority tasks were defined and documents were adopted aimed at the further development of the independent, permanently neutral Turkmen state.
