Turkmen-Turkish trade and economic relations became the subject of discussion of business circles of the two countries

The 10th Exhibition of Export Goods of the Republic of Turkey started its work at the Expocentre of the Chamber of Commerce and Industry of Turkmenistan on December 6. The 7th session of the Intergovernmental Turkmen-Turkish Commission on Economic Cooperation and the business forum of business circles of the two countries were also held.
President of Turkmenistan Serdar Berdimuhamedov in his address to the forum participants expressed confidence that "the exhibition and the business forum organized within its framework will play a significant role in expanding trade and economic cooperation and increasing trade turnover between Turkmenistan and the Republic of Turkey, as well as in consistently increasing contacts with Turkish companies and investors, in actively attracting capital to the national economy.
At the exhibition, which will last until December 8, more than 100 Turkish manufacturers of goods and services are presenting their products in such areas as: technological equipment for industrial enterprises, construction and agricultural machinery, water treatment equipment, ventilation and cooling, various types of household appliances, detergents, consumer goods.
The main topic of the Turkmen-Turkish Business Forum was the intensification of bilateral trade and economic partnership in the context of promising plans for the future.
On the margins of the business forum, Turkmen and Turkish businessmen signed documents providing real opportunities to make a new important step towards strengthening cooperation and realizing the existing partnership potential.
More specific discussion of joint projects and further areas of cooperation took place during bilateral meetings between representatives of relevant ministries and agencies of Turkmenistan, the Union of Industrialists and Entrepreneurs of Turkmenistan and their Turkish counterparts.
