Chairman of GS1 Turkmenistan took part in the work of the GS1 General Assembly-2024

The General Assembly of the International Organization GS1 - 2024 was held from May 21 to 24 in Rome (Italy) and brought together representatives of the main divisions of the global office and national organizations - members of the GS1 Community. 

The national organization of Turkmenistan was represented by Aikamar Myalikgulyeva, Chairman of GS1 Turkmenistan.

Traditionally, the GS1 Assembly aims to agree on a common strategy, monitor the Organization's global results, share knowledge and drive innovation.

During the work of the GS1 General Assembly, a report was heard on the activities of GS1 over the past year and its long-term plans. 

The theme of the GS1 Italy plenary session was “The Art of Transforming Tomorrow: A New Renaissance.” As the organizers emphasize, “together with philosophers, designers, retailers, manufacturers and solution providers, we will explore how the challenge of artificial intelligence is leading us to a new Renaissance in a challenging historical era, on the verge of epochal changes that can give us the opportunity to create a sustainable future together.” .

Panel discussions and special presentations on industry renewal related to the implementation of the GS1 global strategy were held, as well as a meeting of the GS1 Board of Directors. Participants gained information and discovered new projects, innovative ways of working and industry perspectives from all regions of the globe. New candidates for the GS1 board have also been announced.

An exclusive high-speed networking event was held that promises valuable interactions and useful information.

As a result of the work of the GS1 General Assembly - 2024, resolutions were adopted on the Corporate Goals and budget of the GS1 Global Office for the 2024/2025 financial year, as well as decisions on organizational issues.

The General Assembly is an important event for the establishment of the GS1 Community network at the executive level and is held each year by one of the GS1 member organizations.
