GS1 Turkmenistan - Exhibitor at the International Trade Fair

4/30/2025

On April 29th, a three-day exhibition and fair, "International Trade and Services," opened at the Chamber of Commerce and Industry of Turkmenistan. Simultaneously, the international conference "Ensuring Quality in Turkmenistan in Accordance with International Standards" commenced its work.

The exhibition features participation from enterprises of the trade complex, relevant ministries and sectoral departments, members of the Union of Industrialists and Entrepreneurs of Turkmenistan, as well as foreign companies and organizations from more than 30 countries worldwide.

Among the exhibitors is the National Organization of Turkmenistan for Barcodes, GS1 Turkmenistan. Its uniquely designed pavilion showcases information about the organization's activities in line with the state's economic policy, its achievements in boosting trade integration processes, and promising areas of work within the context of the country's innovative development.

The displayed video presentations highlight the extensive work carried out by GS1 Turkmenistan to implement the global multi-sectoral system of identification, barcode labeling, and electronic communication among Turkmen producers.

Visitors to the exhibition are introduced to projects aimed at integrating international GS1 standards into the practice of the trade sector, consequently enhancing the export potential of Turkmen producers, improving the organization of production and management processes, and fostering international trade and economic relations.

Participants and visitors of the event are shown the capabilities of the Made in Turkmenistan website, developed by the National Organization of Turkmenistan for Barcodes. This platform aims to present the country's market and its export opportunities, as well as to promote internationally compliant, environmentally friendly, and competitive Turkmen goods in global markets, thereby increasing their competitiveness.

Within the framework of the trade and services exhibition, consultative meetings and business consultations will be held with the participation of international experts on topics such as export development, digital marketing, and certification requirements. Participation in these events will allow the National Organization of Turkmenistan for Barcodes to use the exhibition platform to establish new partnerships and widely promote knowledge and experience in the field of GS1 standards.

The exhibition will conclude on May 1, 2025.
